On Low-Energy Theory from General Supergravity

چکیده

Starting from non-minimal supergravity theory with unified gauge symmetry, we obtain the low-energy effective theory by taking the flat limit and integrating out the superheavy fields in a model-independent manner. The scalar potential has extra non-universal contributions to soft supersymmetry breaking terms which can give an impact on phenomenological study. 1 Talk presented at YKIS’95, Kyoto, Japan, August, 1995 E-mail address: [email protected]

On universality of stress-energy tensor correlation functions in supergravity

Using Minkowski space AdS/CFT prescription we explicitly compute in the low-energy limit two-point correlation function of the boundary stress-energy tensor in a large class of type IIB supergravity backgrounds with regular translationally invariant horizon. The relevant set of supergravity backgrounds includes all geometries which can be interpreted via gauge theory/string theory correspondenc...

Low-energy effective Lagrangian from nonminimal supergravity with unified gauge symmetry.

From general supergravity theory with unified gauge symmetry, we obtain the low-energy effective Lagrangian by taking the flat limit and integrating out the superheavy fields in model-independent manner. The scalar potential possesses some excellent features. Some light fields classified by using supersymmetric fermion mass, in general, would get intermediate masses at the tree level after the ...

F - term Hybrid Inflation in Effective Supergravity Theories

We show that the effective low energy supergravity theories which result from a generic string theory can provide a promising framework for models of hybrid inflation in which the potential energy which drives inflation originates from the F-term of the effective supergravity theory. In the class of models considered the inflaton is protected from receiving mass during inflation by a Heisenberg...

Embedding Dark Energy in Supergravity

Dark energy[1] is one of the most intriguing puzzles of present day physics. When interpreted within the realm of General Relativity, its existence is linked to the presence of a weakly interacting fluid with a negative equation of state and a dominant energy density. The simplest possibility is of course a pure cosmological constant. A plausible alternative involves the presence of a scalar fi...

Lessons from the Landscape of Six - dimensional Supergravity Theories

Comparing the set of supergravity theories allowed by low-energy consistency conditions with the set of string vacua provides useful insights into quantum gravity and string theory. In fact, such a "landscape analysis" for ten-dimensional supergravity theories was at the core of the exciting series of developments that is now referred to as the first superstring revolution. In this thesis, we d...
